Meet Maeba
Rev. Maeba Jonas, M.Div. is the founder and creator of LoveOf and its method. She provides organizational and individual consulting focusing on inclusive leadership initiatives, cultural competency training, and change management across higher education, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations. Our model emphasizes finding balance between four main areas of both personal and professional development. These “Four Tenets of Love” are: Love of Self, Love of Beloveds, Love of Community & Love of the World.
By drawing on a wide range of spiritual, psychological and coaching modalities, the “Four Tenets” provide a comprehensive map for narrowing in on what is out of balance for an organization, individual or couple, or community, and providing the tools for activating one’s capacity for love in order to create and be open to change.
Maeba offers support groups, personal growth sessions, mindfulness meditation, and body-centered movement workshops, as well as spiritual counseling through an interfaith approach to exploring life's big questions!
She is an interfaith chaplain turned personal growth and spiritual coach with more than 15 years of experience leading meditation, yoga, and spiritual retreats. She holds a Master of Divinity from Yale University and is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ (a progressive Christian denomination).
Maeba identifies as a pluralist and multi-faith practitioner. She has studied extensively in the mystical traditions of several world religions and believes in the power of love to transcend all that we try to grasp through our limited language, which we call spirituality.
Maeba has worked as a hospital and university chaplain and is a certified Trauma-Informed Yoga Instructor (RTY-200), a practitioner of vipassana meditation and previously worked and studied with Buddhist nuns in India and Nepal.
She believes in a mind-body-spirit approach to wellness and utilizes her years of experience teaching mindfulness, meditation, breathwork and yoga, to help her clients achieve more connection, grounded-ness, and loving toward themselves and others. Maeba lives in Baltimore, Maryland with her amazing husband and two awesome kids.
